NORCROSS, GA – June 12, 2008 – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), an innovative developer of device management software, today announced a partnership with Toshiba Display Systems, a leading manufacturer of commercial display products designed for applications such as video walls and digital signage. Under the partnership agreement, Simtrol’s flagship Device Manager™ software will power the Toshiba Management Server, a software-based platform upon which full-service digital signage solutions can be built. The two companies will conduct a road show in July to demonstrate their joint capabilities to consultants, integrators, and resellers.
“The ecosystem of software and hardware components that surrounds our displays in a typical installation is very complex. With Simtrol’s Device Manager at its core, our Toshiba Management Server will provide integrated command-and-control capabilities that eliminate much of this complexity and simplify the creation and installation of full-service solutions,” said Brett Armstrong, President of Toshiba Display Systems.
“Digital signage is one of many applications in which software components need integration with proliferating edge-of-network devices such as displays. Our Device Manager software provides the flexibility and scalability to seamlessly integrate these various components. We are thrilled to partner with Toshiba Display Systems to power their platform with our proven technology,” commented Rick Eaton, Simtrol’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
