NORCROSS, GA – May 8, 2008 – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), an innovative developer of device management software, and Sterling AV & Communications, an Audio/Video systems integrator serving customers in the Pacific Northwest, today announced the successful installation of Simtrol’s Device Manager™ (DM) software at a house of worship in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Sterling’s first installation of DM comes only weeks after the integrator selected Simtrol’s software as an alternative to more expensive hardware-based control solutions.
“We searched for a control solution that was more flexible and cost-effective than those provided by AMX and Crestron and were quite pleased to discover Simtrol’s software-based solution. I’m thrilled with Simtrol’s Device Manager after this first installation because it gave me greater programming flexibility and, by allowing me to incorporate off-the-shelf touchscreens, saved my customer thousands of dollars. I plan to install Simtrol’s DM software as the device management solution in my future installations,” commented Knight Davis, President of Sterling AV & Communications.
“Our Device Manager software offers integrator partners and end-users a strong alternative to legacy hardware-based control solutions. Sterling exemplifies a new breed of integrator that recognizes the benefits of our software-based control solution both to their customers and their own business. We’re thrilled to work with Sterling and look forward to developing partnerships with other companies that seek more innovative and cost-effective control solutions”, said Matt Finger, Simtrol’s Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.
