Simtrol Joins Polycom ARENA Program to Market Digital Arraignment™ Solutions

NORCROSS, GA – June 19, 2007 – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), a leading provider of software solutions for device rich environments, announced today that it has joined the Polycom ARENA program to provide digital arraignment solutions to local, state and regional governments. Polycom, a leader in unified collaboration communications, initiated the ARENA program to allow software application providers, hardware device manufacturers, and conferencing solution providers to integrate their products with Polycom’s industry leading unified collaboration platform to create new applications.

“Polycom’s ARENA program is focused on creating unique solutions such as Simtrol’s Curiax Arraigner™ digital arraignment software that address application needs in growing market segments like telejustice,” said Mark Roberts, Vice President, Polycom ARENA program. “Simtrol’s solution is a perfect example of why we established the ARENA program. By combining their industry expertise in arraignment software with Polycom’s video collaboration platform, we have created a unique solution that meets a significant need in the market. We look forward to leveraging this success to deliver this effective, cost-saving solution to counties across the U.S.”

“We are pleased to join Polycom’s ARENA program,” said Rick Eaton, Senior Vice President of Sales, Simtrol. “Simtrol’s Curiax Arraigner digital arraignment software leverages Polycom’s market leading videoconferencing platform to provide a distinct offering to the government marketplace. Customers will benefit from Polycom’s high quality video, voice and data collaborative technology complemented by Simtrol’s digital arraignment software that changes the way business can be done in county governments. We estimate the technology can save a large county over $15 million annually in arraignment costs.” According to a report by the International Communications Industries Association, state and local government spending for audiovisual products and systems alone is over $1 billion annually.

Curiax Arraigner digital arraignment software provides courtrooms, jails and police precincts an alternate way to deal with the dangerous and costly logistical problems associated with the transport of prisoners and the overcrowding of court dockets. By integrating multipoint videoconferencing, digital document management, digital signatures and evidence into a unified platform, the solution substantially reduces the time and money associated with transporting prisoners to and from court for arraignments, while significantly improving court security and lowering law enforcement costs.
