NORCROSS, GA – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL) today announced it has received its first series of purchase orders from Tech Electronics, Inc. (TEi) for the company’s OnGuard control and management software for use in TEi’s AxisTV dynamic visual messaging and digital signage applications.

AxisTV Visual Messaging and Digital Signage technologies are network-based solutions designed to substantially improve organizational communication by enabling a wider number of people to create powerful messages directly from their desktop, PDA or cell phone. AxisTV’s web-based visual management system creates, manages and delivers dynamic content to thousands of digital signs, televisions and plasmas in a variety of environments including casinos, retail malls, airports, churches, banks, educational campuses, hospitals and sports venues.

The integrated device control solution embeds Simtrol’s OnGuard technology into AxisTV. Through a custom tailored interface, AxisTV administrators manage the content being delivered and the devices displaying the message. The integrated solution eliminates the challenge faced in digital signage implementations to date – the inability to easily control and monitor the endpoint displays.

TEi recently announced eight new product additions to its AxisTV line of visual messaging and digital signage applications. All of the new products were unveiled at the InfoComm trade show in Orlando, Florida in June. The eight new products include a completely redesigned GUI (v.6.1.1), native support for Flash® media, AxisTV Enterprise Edition (v.1.1.1), RSS data publisher, AxisTV Text Messenger, AxisTV Desktop Messenger, and a Microsoft® Exchange calendar data adapter. The releases further the company’s vision of empowering users to create visual communications and digital signage content from anywhere and deliver to any type of display.
