NORCROSS, GA – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL) today announced they have signed First Technology, one of South Africa’s largest, independent information technology (IT) solutions providers, to an exclusive distribution agreement for South Africa. The agreement provides First Technology the ability to take advantage of the convergence of the audiovisual (AV) and IT industries by leveraging Simtrol’s OnGoer™ and OnGuard software products into various vertical applications.

Current installations of Simtrol’s software include South Africa's Department of Public Service and Administration, where the software controls and monitors a projector, motorized screen, audio amplifier, DVD/VCR player and a Media Center PC. First Technology also is currently deploying three demonstration facilities in South Africa, where they will showcase the power, flexibility, and scalability of Simtrol's software and its ability to integrate into collaboration platforms such as Microsoft's Live Communication Server (LCS).
