Matrix Ingenuity Selects Simtrol for 13 Locations in the Grant Joint Union High School District

  April 11, 2005

NORCROSS, GA – April 11, 2005 - Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), a designer and developer of Windows-based control software solutions that enable enterprise-wide command, control, monitoring and diagnostics of otherwise incompatible devices including audiovisual (“AV”), security and other communication assets, today announced a 13-site purchase order from Matrix Ingenuity, Inc. for its OnGoer device control software for an application at Grant Joint Union High School District (“Grant District”) in Sacramento, California.

Grant District was seeking a cost-effective, high tech multimedia system to provide an enhanced learning environment within its schools. The school district partnered with Matrix Ingenuity to design a mobile station that could be easily moved to classrooms fitted with ceiling-mounted NEC MT1075 and VT770 projectors and system speakers. The mobile stations contain a multimedia PC, a Polycom ViewStation FX videoconferencing codec, a Global Cache network adapter, a DVD/VCR combination, an AV receiver, and a signal management platform. Matrix Ingenuity chose Simtrol’s OnGoer software because it provides a powerful control and integration solution for the disparate devices contained in the mobile station. A GTCO CalComp wireless Bluetooth annotation pad seamlessly integrated with the OnGoer software allows the instructor full mobility throughout the room while operating the system. The school district will use the multimedia system for core curriculum and as a training tool for the faculty.

Matrix Ingenuity is a Sacramento-based information technology (“IT”) consulting and multimedia integrator providing solutions for education, corporate and military customers. Mike Dessaso, Vice President of Matrix Ingenuity, commented: “Simtrol’s software provides a powerful, cost-effective command and control solution for our forward-thinking client, Dr. Larry Buchanan, Superintendent of the Grant District. Recently voted one of the ten most Tech-Savvy Superintendents in the nation according to eSchool News (www.eschoolnews.com) as well as California Superintendent of The Year, Dr. Buchanan is the driving force behind integrating our technology solutions into the learning environment for the 13 district libraries.”

Dr. Buchanan states: “These full featured mobile multimedia stations are the latest example of how Grant Joint Union High School District is using technology to reduce teachers’ workloads and allow teachers more time to focus on teaching.”

Rick Egan, Simtrol’s Chief Executive Officer, commented: “We are pleased to be part of this exciting project. Matrix Ingenuity has engineered a powerful, flexible solution that leverages our software with signal management platforms. We are confident this implementation will be a success at the Grant District and look forward to supporting and expanding our business with Matrix Ingenuity and their end user clients.”
