Simtrol Announces New Releases of OnGoer™ and OnGuard Software

  April 6, 2005

NORCROSS, GA – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), a designer and developer of Windows-based control software solutions that enable enterprise-wide command, control, monitoring and diagnostics of otherwise incompatible devices including audiovisual (“AV”), security and other communication assets, today announced the release of OnGoer version 3.22 and OnGuard version 1.30.

OnGoer release 3.22 has new data collection capabilities for use with OnGuard reporting features. These provide Simtrol’s channel partners and end users powerful tools to help them manage their valuable device assets. The new release also contains improved scalability processing to improve management of larger numbers of devices.

OnGuard release 1.30 includes new device reporting features and is more customizable with regard to email notifications and variable-sized graphical view images. OnGuard control panels are now more flexible, adding text boxes and hyperlink capability, as well as customizable help desk buttons. This release also includes improved scalability processing to handle larger numbers of endpoints and devices as well as the ability to monitor non-OnGoer endpoints via a new monitoring protocol.

OnGoer is PC device control software that enables a PC to become a robust and reliable control platform that is easy to configure, easy to program, and easy to use. OnGuard provides remote, server-based proactive monitoring, management, scheduling, and diagnostics as it collects real-time information from OnGoer installations to provide instant status, control, notification, and reporting functions for users.

With powerful software tools for easy user interface design, advanced remote diagnostics, and real-time monitoring of devices, Simtrol's products are designed to help Information Technology (IT) organizations manage AV assets such as video codecs, audio processors, plasma monitors, projectors, VCR’s, DVD players, cameras, and video switchers with the same familiarity used to manage IT assets such as PCs, servers, and routers.

Mike Miller, Simtrol’s Vice President of Client Services, stated: “As we continue the rollout of our products to our channel partners, we are gaining valuable experience in the feature sets that users desire. These latest versions represent a combination of our best ideas as well as those from our partners. We are on a mission to make our industry’s best open-platform software solutions and believe these releases are major steps in that direction. We have improved functionality and scalability as well as added the ability to monitor non-OnGoer endpoints with our software. This feature is particularly valuable to our partners as end users continue to transition from expensive proprietary controllers and touch panels. OnGuard 1.30 now gives them a more orderly migration path from their legacy controllers to the open-architecture Simtrol platform.”
