  Telaid Deploys Additional Simtrol Software

  April 4, 2005

NORCROSS, GA – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), a designer and developer of Windows-based control software solutions that enable enterprise-wide command, control, monitoring and diagnostics of otherwise incompatible devices including audiovisual (“AV”), security and other communication assets, today announced that Telaid has completed deployment of 15 additional units of OnGoer control software at two of the world’s largest financial institutions.

Telaid uses OnGoer to provide a common user interface for devices such as video conferencing codecs, plasma displays and other AV devices. In addition, Telaid uses Simtrol’s OnGuard monitoring software to provide 24x7 asset management of these devices from the Telaid Network Operation Centers (“NOC”) in Niantic, Connecticut and Denver, Colorado.

George Meglio, Vice President of Telaid, stated: “We continue to expand our business by utilizing Simtrol’s open PC platform to deliver IT-friendly solutions to our clients. Simtrol’s software allows our clients to manage their AV assets with software tools that are similar to those they utilize for their IT assets, increasing device uptime and lowering their costs of operations. OnGuard provides our NOC continual health and status information of devices, allowing us to reliably and proactively monitor these assets 24x7 and remotely troubleshoot technical issues for our clients. This allows our clients to focus on their business versus worrying about their meeting room technology.”

Rick Egan, Simtrol Chief Executive Officer, stated: “Telaid provides their customers value by delivering solutions based on our open PC architecture. Open architecture solutions provide users better pricing, more choices and are simpler to deploy, all without sacrificing functionality. End users realize tremendous cost savings on hardware purchases, because they no longer have to purchase expensive proprietary controllers and touch panels, and do not have to worry about running proprietary operating systems on their IT networks. Like other industries before them, the control system industry began with proprietary technology but is now migrating towards open platforms as the market develops. Telaid understands this shift and is in the forefront of this evolution by proactively moving their clients away from proprietary technology.”
