BREA, CA & NORCROSS, GA – ALTINEX, Inc., a leading manufacturer of audio-visual (AV) signal management solutions and Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL) a designer and developer of Windows-based AV control software solutions, today announced the launch of new MultiTasker FriendlyTM control software.
The ALTINEX MultiTaskerTM product line is a modular AV system used to design, configure and build innovative and compact signal management solutions. Simtrol’s control software allows the command, control and monitoring of incompatible devices, including AV devices. This joint ALTINEX-Simtrol effort provides integrators a single, powerful platform to develop dynamic and cost-effective signal management and device control solutions.
Building on the successful prototype demonstrations to systems integrators at the 2004 InfoComm trade show, this product release brings exciting new firmware and software to market, including control capabilities with enhanced status feedback available on MultiTasker cards.
The flexible MultiTasker allows the switching, distributing, amplifying, converting, connecting, and controlling of video, audio, and control signals in one comprehensive rack-based system with up to 50% rack space savings over dedicated AV products.
Also available as part of this launch is Simtrol’s first library for ALTINEX’s AVSnapTM. AVSnap is a free, professional AV system integration tool for consultants, sales engineers, designers, installers and other AV professionals. Simtrol’s control library brings rich graphical elements to integrators interested in using cost-effective, standard PC controllers and touch panels to deliver complete AV solutions.
