NORCROSS, GA — Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), a designer and developer of Windows-based control software solutions that enable enterprise-wide command, control, monitoring and diagnostics of otherwise incompatible devices including audiovisual (“AV”), security and other communication assets, today announced Matrix Ingenuity, Inc. has signed a reseller agreement to sell its OnGoer and OnGuard software.
Matrix Ingenuity is a Sacramento-based, Service-Disabled Veteran, Woman-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB / WOSM) that focuses on providing information technology (IT) consulting and multimedia solutions for education, corporate and military customers.
The first project is for the California National Guard, where OnGoer is installed on a PC that will be used for both device control and videoconferencing via a board level codec. The control application handles VCR, volume, pan/tilt camera, projector and video switcher operations. The user interface is designed to blend perfectly with basic PC operations by allowing the user to toggle the operation on or off any time by clicking a Windows tray icon.
Mike Dessaso, Vice President of Matrix Ingenuity, commented: “We evaluated the Simtrol software in early January and quickly realized its potential for a wide variety of applications. Our clients rely on our strong IT consulting capabilities and we believe they will value Simtrol’s software approach to controlling, monitoring and diagnosing devices as part of Matrix Ingenuity’s turnkey solutions. We are working with Simtrol’s staff to train our technical team how to program using Simtrol’s powerful and easy-to-use Builder tool. Builder uses the BASIC programming language, so our staff can more quickly develop solutions using this industry standard language versus learning proprietary programming methods used by Simtrol’s competitors. We look forward to a growing partnership with Simtrol and appreciate the quality support we have received.”
Rick Egan, Simtrol’s Chief Executive Officer, stated: “Matrix Ingenuity is perfectly suited for the converging AV and IT markets. They understand that successful multimedia projects deliver value to clients by harnessing the power of the open PC platform versus using closed architecture, proprietary touch panels and controllers. We look forward to supporting Matrix Ingenuity as a Simtrol reseller partner as they deliver this value to their government, military and corporate customer base.”
