Monday, 26 March 2007 13:02

NORCROSS, GA and BLOOMINGTON, MN – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), a leading provider of software solutions for device rich environments, announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Justice Digital Solutions ("JDS"),

has formed a strategic alliance with North American Systems International ("NASI") to provide Curiax Arraigner™ digital arraignment solutions to county, state and regional governments throughout the United States.

Curiax Arraigner leverages IBM's powerful WebSphere platform and Polycom's market leading videoconferencing platform and will be sold, implemented and supported nationwide by NASI, a leading IBM solution provider.

"As the first reseller of Curiax, we are pleased to provide a solution where video, voice and workflow have come together to offer the court system enhanced security and efficiency," said Dave Bogie, Co-Founder, North American Systems International. "NASI seeks to provide value for our customers by offering timely solutions with sound underlying infrastructure. With JDS and Curiax, we have exactly that scenario."

"This alliance with NASI will allow us to rapidly expand our reach to numerous county, state and regional governments," said Rick Eaton, Senior Vice President of Sales, JDS. "NASI's consultative sales approach, qualified engineers and support staff as an IBM Premier Business Partner will be instrumental in helping county governments save as much as one million dollars per month by utilizing Curiax versus prior antiquated methods that can result in lost documentation, risk to public safety, and large inefficiencies at taxpayer expense."

The Curiax digital arraignment platform was developed to avoid the dangerous and costly logistical problems associated with the transport of prisoners and the overcrowding of court dockets. By integrating multipoint videoconferencing, digital document management, digital signatures and evidence into a unified platform, the solution substantially reduces the time and money associated with transporting prisoners to and from court for arraignments, while significantly improving court security and lowering law enforcement costs.
