Simtrol, Inc. Announces First Customer for Video Visitation
Wednesday, 23 April 2008 11:52

NORCROSS, GA – Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), an innovative developer of Device Management Software (DMS), and Strike Industries Inc., a leading systems integrator in the Corrections and Judicial markets, today announced their first joint customer for Simtrol’s Visitor™ video visitation product.

Simtrol and Strike recently formed a partnership to provide jails and prisons with advanced video visitation applications powered by Simtrol’s flagship DMS. The first implementation of Visitor, deployed under Strike’s private label brand name of Video Viso™, will be completed in the second quarter of 2008 at a large Florida county jail. This installation will provide digital video recording, video call monitoring, and video call interjection to streamline the inmate visitation process at over 300 visitor and inmate video stations.

“Simtrol’s ability to bring this robust product to market in such a short timeframe is a clear validation of the advantages of their software-based approach to device management. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Simtrol with many additional system deployments as we work together to advance the state-of-the-art for video visitation and related telejustice applications”, commented Pat Sellati, General Manager of Strike Industries.

“The government-telejustice space is just one of many markets – including security and surveillance, healthcare, and education – where controllable devices are increasingly added on to IT networks. We believe that a broad range of users can benefit from our powerful Device Management Software and are very pleased to deploy the first system with Strike so soon after releasing our Visitor product”, said Bill Joyce, Simtrol’s Executive Vice President of Operations.
