Controllable devices (i.e., equipment and technology that can communicate with other technology via a communication protocol) are proliferating due to technological innovation and intense demand from users. From off-the-shelf equipment (such as LCD and plasma displays) to industry-specific specialized hardware (such as advanced medical scopes), controllable devices are becoming more prevalent in every industry. Simtrol's device management software (called OnGoer) controls, monitors, diagnoses, services, and schedules any controllable device.  The software communicates with devices via a a variety of standard interface protocols, including: TCP/IP, serial (RS232, RS422, and RS485), infrared, and IO relay.
