(OTCBB: SMRL), an innovative developer of enterprise-class software solutions that manage the extended network of connected devices, today announced a closing of approximately $562,000 in a private placement of convertible notes and warrants to purchase common stock. The private placement, comprised of existing investors, was led by TVP Investments, LLC and Parker H. Petit, Chairman of the Petit Group and former CEO and Chairman of Matria Healthcare.

Announces 215% Revenue Increase in Q1 2009

NORCROSS, Ga., - Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL), an innovative developer of enterprise-class software solutions that manage the extended network of connected devices, today announced first quarter 2009 fiscal results.

Revenue for the quarter was $251,287, an increase of 215% compared to $79,897 for the quarter ended March 31, 2008. Net loss for the quarter narrowed to $882,733, or ($0.08) per common share, from a net loss of $1,433,502, or ($0.19) per common share in the quarter ended March 31, 2008.

Dr. Robert Marzano addresses the question “What do we know about the effect of technology on student achievement?” at the CUE 2009 Conference on March 6, 2009. Interim research findings conducted by Dr. Marzano indicate that students whose teachers used Promethean’s ActivClassroom gained, on average, a 17 percentile point increase in academic achievement over students whose teachers did not use Promethean’s ActivClassroom. The findings further showed that an average 30 percentile point increase was achieved under certain conditions.
